Wisteria Wall

This mural was painted on the wall of a basement light well in a Georgian town house in London.

The windows of the downstairs sitting room faced directly onto a plain rendered wall, so I painted climbing wisteria and a trompe l’oeil archway that creates the illusion of leading into a formal garden, enhancing the view and bringing a sense of outdoor tranquility into the room.
