About the Artist
Hi, I'm Chris, and I've had the pleasure of creating murals and star ceilings for over 25 years, working both across the UK and internationally.
Based in Essex, I’m conveniently located to provide my services to London and the home counties, though I’m also available for projects further afield depending on the scope of the work.

My artistic journey began at the Southend-on-Sea School of Art and Design, followed by further studies at the University of North London.
From an early stage, I developed a deep affinity for murals, which led me to explore various styles of mural and trompe l’oeil techniques through books and practical study. This extensive research gave me a comprehensive understanding of the different approaches and styles, allowing me to refine my own unique method and artistic voice.
In 2002 and 2003, I had the honor of sharing my knowledge and techniques through the publication of two books, Trompe L’Oeil Interiors and The Trompe L’Oeil Bible. These were both published by David & Charles in the UK and Northern Light in the United States.
Writing these books was a rewarding experience, as it allowed me to pass on my passion for trompe l’oeil art and inspire others in the field.
Throughout my career, I've also been invited to contribute to interior design programs on both BBC1 and ITV1, where I’ve shared my expertise in creating immersive and captivating designs. These programs occasionally air, allowing me to reach a broader audience with my work.

I take great care and consideration with every project, always paying attention to the architectural details, colour palettes, and mood of the space.
It’s essential to me that each mural not only enhances the environment but also complements the building’s unique characteristics, whether it's a modern space or a historic setting.
This approach ensures that the mural feels like a natural extension of the room, perfectly blending with the architecture and reflecting the period and style of the space.
